Well, I was reading it a lot before we met so when I told him I'm reading manga, he asked me about bl because he is a little bit into anime and I told him I read it a lot. He doesn´t like seeing me reading bl in front of him, since he is very straight, but it isn´t much of a problem in our relationship.
i dont have a boyfriend but if i did i'd either do two things
1. dont tell him at all (keep ur secret to the grave)
2. let him figue it out himself (make sure he actually likes u so he accepts u for what u like)
or
3.just straight up tell him that ur into yaoi. if he's curious on what yaoi is then let him search it up. the he will know
