Idk but I think it has to do with them being indenial with their own feelings. That time when Yuu thought Clyde would dissapear, that's when Yuu fully realized his affection towards Clyde and viseversa where in they get to "materialize" their love for one another (causing for clyde not to vanish idk). Di kasi inexplain yung mismong plot device na ginamit sa story.
