Umm, are you asking for a good anime that isn't yaoi or yuri? I guess Angel Densetsu is pretty good. It's about a very good mannered male student who is misunderstood for a yakuza for his very scary face. One about a girl... maybe Sarasah? It's regular romance, too, but it's about a girl who dies and is taken to a historical place in Japan, but she's a princess. Both are incomplete manga, though, sorry.
Are sprts anime ok? Then you should watch Yowamushi Pedal, Kuroko no Basket and Haikyuu.
If you like action and misteries, then Psycho-Pass is for you.
