Luna doesn't remember the pet rescuing incident and all she remembers about Shawn is saying hi to him once.
Right now, we know he's a good guy and all because he's the male lead (for Luna). But what if this was real life? Someone really sloppy and someone who you just talked to a little in the passing gives you so much gifts and expensive not to mention. Tbh, it would make me just uncomfortable.
Though I agree that she shouldn't have been so mean about it, I don't really mind it much. Also, you said it yourself that "he may possibly be a creep" so I think Luna's actions were not that terrible.
