I thought the same but i kinda understood it because shes pope, someone whos supposed to be patient and forgiving. Honestly first 20 chapters are annoying but i read all 55 chapters in 6 hours and its getting better. Emperor had,,reasons,, for killing/hurting people to some point which will be releaved in later chapters.

I'm not sure if the story gets better, but for FL to have been a CEO in her past life, she is extremely passive. Like how tf does she let the emperor do what he wants (harassing her, demanding to marry her, hurting their sibling) without taking any form of action. Not to mention she starts being attracted to him even if he's a literal murderer which is strange considering she is a functional mature adult.
The other characters (except the emperor) are not that likable but I think I can let that pass because they might have a character arc or have some sort of reason why they act the way they do. The Emperor kinda acts like Donald Trump has a Twitter tantrum while damaging other people with no regard.
