I can't really empathize with Subaru because I've been an otaku and a weeb since I was little and I openly admitted I love it to people.
Some are making fun of me being a weeb, and ofc I always beat those guys. :")
But the majority of my classmates are always a manga and anime enthusiasts, and as I grow up there are more people who loves manga and anime. And less people making fun of it.
