Not really in her own way she is strong enough. That is Zays 3rd life and her emotions and feelings has taken the lead because of the pain she has experienced already..
What she really do?
She died three times trying to save aseph in her previous life, this time he save aseph again to not being a murderer so he won't fall for darkness and make a deal with the devil
(sorry for spoiler, but it's already hinted and kinda obvious from her dreams)
For a moment i totally forgot that zay also saved aseph's life in this current timeline
If you remember previous chapter about zay's father who had a talk with aseph and the prince (i forgot which chapter, but i think it's one of early chapters from season 2)
Zay's father told aseph that little zay somehow knew that aseph will going to die, and she asked her father to save aseph, the reason why aseph can run away from the fire and still alive until now is because zay asked her father in the past
Aseph is actually fated to die as a kid,
Zay already sacrificed a lot for him, even being transmigrated to modern korea and having her memory got erased, zay still want to save aseph
So honestly i don't mind at all if zay keep being 'weak' and protected by aseph in this current timeline
she already had 3 previous lives with him?? the stuff with her as a kid confused me cuz she doesn't remember it and she talks with an older version of herself... like are they stuck in some kind of groundhog day scenario?
In her first life Zay was pared with Asef.. but Asef died when they were kids.
When Zay grow up and find out that she will never be able to have the mark she begged the God for a second change. The God loves Zay and he turn the time back but in that time line the one who will die is Zay, letting Asef alone.. Asef will be attached to her sister because he feel the connection between them but sis has the mark with the prince, she rejected Asef feelings and that made Asef to use dark magic so he again died in the second time line.
Now we are in the third timeline. Zay is reading the book about the second time line and she feels really sad about Asef ends without understanding why so she again wanted a chance to be next to him and to save him. ( mind that zay in this timeline is born in Korea) the God once agan give her one chance to be with him. That how she end up in the book (that is her really world tho)
In that timeline 5 years old Zay begged her father to help and save Asef who was suppose to be dead. So that is how Asef is alive in this time line..

i really like this story and the art is beautiful! it was interesting to see the ml try to woo the mc while the mc knew he was being fake lol. the only thing is i wish the mc was less meek and defenceless. i liked how determined she was to save aseph and do everything she can, but what did she really do? just wallowed around and let herself be wooed by aseph... just being there saved him instead of her actively doing anything. she also doesn't seem to know anything about her powers so she can't do anything and she has no physical strength so when the demon clone thing attacked she just stood around and screamed while aseph protected her. just disappointed by her uselessness and indecision so far, hopefully she shows more strength soon.
