Idk why authors feel the need to exaggerate features on black ppl like... at least give them good lips/accurate lips bc there isn't a single black person i have ever seen with such pink vibrant lips that look like sausages ( ̄へ ̄)

BRO. I thought this was gonna go unnoticed! This is why I’m not gonna continue to read this manga anymore. They made him have some dry looking lips which I found odd but I thought it was alright maybe he got lipstick. BUT then,Σ( ̄□ ̄||) his hand were one single tone... ONE single tone... IN multiple panels too... they also made him effeminate... so that’s gonna be his whole personality/trait? because he works/owns a clothing shop..? Ok... I saw enough. I bet they are not gonna show him much and if he’s presented then his unnecessary exaggerated mannerism is the main/only thing about him they’ll show. So mUCh comprehension and inclusiveness of the black community and possibly the LGBTQ+ community, well done authors. This problem’s solution was one single Google search away, guys... Alright, I’mma head out. This is sad. It reminds me of the manga of the dark skin goddess MC since they could’ve just change her hair colour only not lighten her beautiful dark skin colour.╥﹏╥ Japan needs to fix up.

Same, absolutely done, it's interesting that they bring out that little nugget of offensivenes and then had the ml appear so half the readers either don't notice or no longer care

Hmm I guess it’s not good to do that. I just thought that his personality was nice, he just asked who the customer was without gossiping unlike his employees. I thought he represented a nonjudgmental person pretty well.

Sure. I continued to read through the chapter though I am not gonna keep reading it. His personality doesn’t seem that bad considering what you bought up. But, why give him exaggerated hand gestures? Was it necessary? What did it convey?
Gay men are mostly portrayed in this toxic manner which may lead many stupid people to subconsciously expect someone which fits his role/orientation to be such a way. It portrays them as some kind of mascot which is always cheerful, fashion driven and sASsy.
I feel that people that see nothing wrong with the stereotyping of LGBTQ+ in the media are choosing to put a blink eye to the underlying issues this stereotypes bring. Like people that WANT a gAy Best Friend but don’t really want to actively support them because it doesn’t apply to them. Treating them like some pet. I just want the media to portray people in the LGBTQ+ people as regular civilians/characters with great personalities that happen to have a different sexual orientation than the norm. To also not use their sexual orientation as their main personality trait.
There are more modern shows that are doing this right and I’m really happy for being born in a time of more positive portrayals of minority groups. Though stuff like this where they don’t even try to get the skin tone of a hand right is annoying even stories where the female MCs are portrayed as “strong women” but the story mostly shows the MLs helping her every action are not my cup of tea. But, you do you.
