I think when little Horus first met Seth he was so amazed by Seth's emotional intensity, by the intensity with which Seth could evidently love those he cared about, that he just became dazzled by it and wanted some of that affection for himself. The only logical way he could think of at that age was if they were in a like- father-and-son type of relationship. However, the impression that Seth's emotional intensity left on him was so strong that he kept wanting it for himself even after he realized and came to terms with the fact that there was zero way he would ever have Seth father. That's probably when he realized he still wanted Seth's affection no matter what, in any way he could have it, and realized he was inlove.
That aside, I don't even think we need to analyze the mirror's role in Horus' attraction because I always aklready thought, a lot before reading that scene, that Horus was already up to his ears inlove with Seth, as there was definitely some really obvious onesided attraction there that Horus was feeling for Seth, from pretty early on in the story, long before the mirror: The moment Horus touches his lips fondly after the first test, while remembering how Seth during the test had gotten so close to him (enough for a kiss) to check if he was really breathing underwater, that was when I thought "ok, Horus is already infatuated with his uncle". That was such a dead giveaway that he was attracted to Seth, that even though I hadn't even read the rest of the raws yet I was already deeply convinced that overgrown kid already got it really bad for his "enemy". Also, if you pay attention in the rest of the chapters of season one at the way Horus keeps touching Seth you really see he doesn't just pity him or feels guilty about raping him, but is really infatuated with him. And chapter 60 just serves to show that Seth was in his mind for a looooooong time, since even before the story even started.
Anyway, that's just my two cents on this.
Hm, I'm sorry, it wasn't Horus touching his lips, it was the way Horus kept his hand outstretched yearningly towards Seth after Seth pulled away from the "kiss" while they were underwater. Like his hand couldn't help but caress Seth's collar piece or the cloth of Seth's headpiece while Seth was withdrawing, as if left wanting more, lol. I mentioned Horus touching his lips because I think I got that scene mixed up with another story where a character touched their lips after a similar situation (I did read the raws a long time ago...) But anyway, to me the meaning was the same. The author wanted us to believe he was completely NOT repulsed by the contact with Seth's lips!
Oh okay! Yes that "kiss" and Horus' outstretched hand and how he thinks of it afterwards is probably the most romantic scene we have so far, love it!! (≧∀≦) Yeah he definitely wasn't repulsed by it haha (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ Actually I have also thought of these scenes as romantic before but I didn't want to get ahead of myself and needed some reassurance I didn't misread it. So thank you!
Tbh when i saw that scene. I think little horus was like...
i have always lived in fear. My mom always cries and is being hunted. Were starving and maltreated and young as i am.. i cant kill the powerful god yet. Then he sees set, deep in despair like this wasnt what i thought youd be as a powerful god. You should be happy and drowning in leisure but here you are crying so pitifully. Kissing me and apologizing over and over again. So blinded by tears that you dont even see that i am not your son.
So yeah i feel like, horus felt for him then. Jealous of set's actual son that he wanted to be him so he accepted the curse. And he sees anubis. Who doesnt understand. And he just rages. Because horus knows how much set loves him enough to be his weakness. And this son refuses to believe it.

Discussion about the raws around chapter 60.
Such mind-blowing chapters!!
But what is Horus' actual feelings towards Seth? It is supposed to be romance and it's said that their relationship will be developed more in season 2, but here Horus says he wants to be Seth's son?! Receiving paternal love the same way Anubis does (although Anubis might disagree). Or has this changed since Horus was a child? Also, he wants to be loved by a strong powerful god, but what happens now when Horus was able to overpower him (with the help of the mirror) and Seth might lose his leading position amongst the gods, will Horus no longer like him and look up to him?
Also, about the mirror, I still haven't really understood if it controlled Horus' actions completely or if it just heightened his feelings and removed his inhibitions. Kind of important to understand in order to see if Horus is actually attracted to Seth or not.
