I don't speak Spanish either but I speak French and Italian and I translated what I couldn't figure out. It doesn't say he has cancer yet. He's trying to figure out what/if he has an illness. The reason he's being kinda cold is because be doesn't want yu yang to see him sick but he still loves him v much.
