The raws are confusing for me because at first it seemed like they were distancing and then it seemed like Jay was suddenly trying to inpress/date Yoon. So I'm not sure.

Yes honey that's usually what's "raws" entails. Most of the we comics and manhwas are done in Korean first and then translated over time by another team unless officially released by the author, which is usually later. Trust me, this site has the most up to date chapters a few days after the official chapter is released to be more respectful to the author.
So yes. Raws are usually always in a foreign language, mainly Korean. This is why we love our translation teams so much when there isn't an official English translation of the comic.
