I’m like pretty sure it was the father who did it and the reason for the blue eyes is because of the water spirits and the powers since the PARVIS family can use them. So the author tried to hide his eye color with that excuse in mind.

Regarding the father; He’s so stupid, absolute trash. I honestly forget some things but I know that he loved his first wife. But he’s so trash that he stuck with the “PARVIS family needs to be neutral” after his wife was accused of not being able to carry a baby. His second wife (our mc’s mom) family had droven the first wife out and The father just stood there because he stuck with his stupid “neutral” thing. Alas, his first wife was indeed carrying a baby. Now there is some things that were lost in translation because people believe she was either carrying a boy or girl or possibly twins but again, I’ve roamed them spoiler things and people are divided but I’ll say this because it’s the more sensible one. I believe in my opinion from what I’ve heard that the first wife was indeed carrying a baby who was a girl that is Colette. But here’s the thing, the first wife made a deal with a devil/demon for Colette to live and have revenge on the PARVIS family and when that deal was made the demon took over Colette’s body. So Colette I believe is the daughter of the duke but isn’t, because the real Colette died when the demon possessed her body when she was a baby (or maybe when she was like in the womb or soemthing). Colette is a demon, that’s for sure so idk how she got to control the spirits, may of been because Colette’s original body (before being possessed) was of PARVIS bloodline and had some magic but honestly i forget, try to get that on your own? Now, The father never loved the second wife so I think he hated Kiera of that reason but idk if there’s more to it. He’s kinda fucked up because if he didn’t neglect Kiera, things would’ve turned out different and if he wasn’t so idiotic with the “always being neutral” thing his first wife and (original Colette) Colette would’ve probably been alive, but the father is so fucked he literally caused the end of the world. What do you mean? Yes, after Kiera dying the first time, Colette shows her true colors and pretty sure there is like a war and like yeah...hell, the demons take over or some shit. So the father uses like magic or something with someone else i believe or not to turn back time for Kiera to be alive. Anyways, now spoilers for the current timeline. I don’t know the exact events next but this story is about Kiera’s self growth, not about the relationship with her father. She tries to find herself and the things she missed out with her brother after they basically been chained up in the PARVIS house because of the stupid neutrality and the father. Uhm they figure things out and defeat Colette (yay) and this is where people slowly dropped the novel because they said that they rushed over Colette defeating ro something because it was such a big event but it turned out disappointing or Somehting but anyways, there’s something about a spirit for the next part of the book but idk what it’s about. Anywyas now that I’m nearing the end, Colette and her brother cuts ties with the father (thank the lords, he was so trash honestly wished he like died. His punishment was basically not being able to ahve a relationship with his children because he eventually wanted one but I wished he had a worse punishment) and Kiera goes traveling at the end or soemthing. Sorry if these spoilers are sloppy but It’s been like a week since I’ve read them so i was pretty dependent on my memory! Here are some last few things i guess: the count (pretty sure the cousin of the first wife or Somehting) helps Colette but idk if he like knows she’s a demon or like he made a deal too but i just know he’s there to help Colette. Uhm there isn’t a ML currently in the novel despite being fantasy romance which upset some readers but they may change it in the manwha. Anywyas enjoy
