I at first I hate him a lot until I realize that the seme in bj Alex and this are similar. If you really think about its probably worst in bj Alex

Omg yes. Actually, i do enjoy read bj alex but yes. I hate the seme at first, because he also manipulative person, take advantage on DG but both of it still a good manhwa to read
While there are similarities, there are a few differences too. Jiwon was an ass for sure, but his terrible personality stemmed from the lack of love and affection in his life. His parents were shit and never appreciated him since his was brother was pretty much a prodigy and while Jiwon was a genius too in terms of academics and sports,he wasn't on the same wavelength as his brother according to his parents. And the guy he fell in love with just turned out to be playing with him. So his personality was just a defense stance on his part, as we saw later he can be pretty mushy when in a relationship ( with dg and that ex of his too) and he realized his mistakes, apologized and tried to make up for the things he did. Although that doesn't totally negate the way he treated DG in the past, it helps readers look past those mistakes and focus on their relationship. While in this manhwa, the seme was a jerk and asshole to the uke for the heck of it and that it was fun to order him around.
But still, both of them have character development, learn from the past mistake, right? Actually both manhwa are good. I do enjoy reading both of it. Even most of yaoi story are like this, as long they have character development, everything will be good
Actually the strory line was similar to bj alex, but in different font . The seme has character development, he even realised his mistake and acknowledge his weakness.
