Heheh, I can't help but agree with all of you in a way - but part of being a fan is also being a shipper!!!! That's why you don't have to worry - it's the directors job to keep the story in line from too much (obvious) pairings... (▰˘◡˘▰)

Isn't it cause Nakiri has a crush on his dad? I think he was the only chef to truly impress her. But she doesn't know he's Souma's father!

I have a feeling Nakiri's shit attitude will change over the course of the manga and things might speed uo if she meets souma's father since he's the mystery chef she's been dreaming of. Maybe he'll knock her ego down a bit.
