I just finished reading and... holy shit. I’m never going to forget this manga. A perfect story and ending. Chills and tears ;-;
SPOILERS
I interpreted the ending as: Tenma visits Johan who’s in a coma, has a bit of an episode considering the past (Johan, still creepy as hell even in coma+death), Johan later dies in the hospital (the bed being wrinkled as if recently used). Tenma goes to visit Anna and Dieter, returns to his MSF work. I really like that ending for him, Nina becoming a lawyer, everything.
And we never got to know Anna/Nina and Johan’s real names, but I don’t think we had to. I mean, how would the story change if we found out at the end that their names were, say, Jane and John?
