it's basically just adding "spice" to a plot to catch readers' attention without straight up having explicit scenes. also i think if it's just ecchi it wont be rated 18+ so it has a larger audience. many shounen have ecchi or fanservice but the target audience is young men, many of them minors, so they want to appeal to them without limiting the audience
Why do people put ecchi in manga? Why not just draw Doujinshi or doujins? I'm confused, in manga with the "ecchi" tag their is almost always s*x. It's censored here and there but why not just draw Doujinshi and doujins?
