I read the 1st chapter then masked monarch was mentioned so I went straight to the comment section to see if this is another solo leveling rip off. After reading your review, now I know that this is gonna be a waste of time.
Premise is fun but the execution is bland. Story does nothing but ego stroke the MC. Just scene after scene of MC being OP and breezing through everything. It's shallow with minimal details or world building. Characters exist to prop MC. Even the fights are short and without tension as MC just overwhelms everything.
OP protagonists are only fun when there is conflict. Since MC just waltzes through every encounter so conflict is non existant. Good world building could make up for this but even that's lacking. Only just enough info is given to set up the next encounter that will be over by the end of the chapter....
