huh. i remember having a conversation in my sculpture class about how if you have a big kiln, you might actually get away with murder. sometimes you turn the heat all the way up to clean it. basically anything you put in there will turn to ash. like owning a crematorium. effectively a whole person just up and disappears. scary.

    i could google this lol but i figured why not ask - would the kiln have any dna evidence left behind in the ashes or walls of the actual kiln, or does the fire destroy absolutely everything?

    Ok, not an expert but as per my watching of Forensic Files and such other shows -- fire doesn't destroy everything. Remember the old adage: There is no perfect crime. There was even an episode in FF where they were able to test cremated ashes for arsenic poison. So yeah, it doesn't destroy everything. You would still be caught.

    huh. interesting. though they'd still need a reason to find the ashes suspicious in order to try to find and test them. his little photo album will probably condemn him one of these days.
