I don’t know if anyone peeped this but in the earlier chapter her father (May he rest in pieces) had a magician who used healing magic on Maxi after he hit her. That’s why there are no signs. She needs to be seen in public but not with bruises or welts on her body
Yeah I remembered that too. I literally thought "oh he's beating her oh no, but at least she'll have bruises and Riftan will find out". Then he healed her right after and berated her even more and I just got upset bc the abuse is gonna be unknown for even longer :(( I'm really looking forward to how Riftan will find out everything and treat her even better than he already is Father is literally scum, like I feel so bad bc he just absolutely destroyed her self esteem and actually made her think she deserves the abuse.
Riftan is horny and I approve lmao. Ok seriously tho, I like that he's clear about what he expects/wants from her and stuff like that. Also consent king we stan. I like how they portray the FL too. In other manhwa sometimes they don't really show how trauma and abuse affects the FL in order to make them a strong FL. I like that she's more realistic in her portrayal. I really hope that the misunderstandings will stop soon but you can't really blame Riftan bc there's currently no clear evidence of abuse. Also this goes without saying but FL can't be blamed for hiding it because she's a victim and is scared. I really want to see what Riftan does to the dad when he finds out what he's been doing to her. I also hope the soldiers feel guilty for treating her like shit bc she doesn't deserve it.
