He didn't demand to know if the cookies were made by Marie. Just if the lady had made them. Sussing her out shouldn't put a target on Marie.
1. The crown prince demanding to know if the cookies were made by Marie like that to a quick witted princess, he's definitely putting a huge target on Marie -_- the princess will come to see Marie as someone who should be disposed off as early as possible
2. At this point tbh I just want Marie to retire and live in the countryside lololol the empire would work just fine without her (even if it doesn't, it's not her job to catch up with the slack jfkfnf) please I just want her to stop feeling like there's a knife dangling above her head and make actual friends and live a happy life //sobs
