When that happens to me i usually turn off my phone and like idk scream without a sound and complain how idiotic and embarrassing one character is doing do that for like 2-4 times and and just stare at the ceiling for a while, while building up your courage to read it again and there you go
Lmao i sound pretty weird in this but it works for me
have a yt video on ur browser or app so when u get embarrassed just watch the video for a bit until ur ready to come back. sometimes i just skip the embarrassing part since it usually isn’t important to the plot
