idk why but i sometimes see this trope in some of the shoujo mangas that if the FL didn't end up with the 2nd ML then her daughter will be the one who'll end up with the 2nd ML. i dont really care about age gaps but like that shit is disturbing. imagine your daughter getting married to your friend #－.－)

Exactly! And in one of the novels I read, the 2nd ML was the FL's older cousin! So basically you daughter is marrying her uncle
