Can I ask what a Harlequin manga is? Is it a author or the title of an anthology? It seems interesting and I wanna try one out
Harlequin is a Canadian-based company that publishes romance novels targeted towards women. Harlequin manga are produced by the Japanese branch of the company, coupling the original stories by English authors with artwork from a Japanese mangaka.
In less correct terms, a Harlequin manga is incredibly sappy, overdramatic, with more often than not arrogant men and weak women. Lots of them are surpisingly good and even the bad ones are still kinda fun ╮(￣▽￣)╭

So I think most Harlequin are like a day old donut: it’s not great and there are better options, but who’s going to refuse such a classic delicacy? I do wish more of the ‘single mom’ stories knew more about the legal system (at least in America) but I also think the dads had a right to know too! Also, all the male leads look alike. And they!re all greek, what is it with the greek???

I’ve been on a Harlequin binge lately and I can’t remember the title of one, looking for help!! It’s about a quiet girl with a flashy cousin (Isadora I think?) who gets married to a rich guy (obvs) but then the cousin gets sick and the FL tries to save her but collapses on the street from a heart problem. The cousin/wife ends up dying and the FL gets all the blame, the husband calls her a murderer. The plot is typical Harlequin and I remember the FL was a nurse, maybe? The ML was a heart surgeon!
