I think they do feel guilty, and they looked pretty shocked when they seen the bruises on her. So I don’t think they truly noticed. I think before the MC swapped bodies, the brother and grandfather didn’t pay attention to her. I mean she technically was a lifeless doll. Their was no need to actually pay attention to her.
I personally don’t strongly hate the brother’s and grandfather. They are a piece of shit don’t get me wrong, but I think slowly they’re having character development. Like really really slow character development. Hopefully they don’t go backwards instead of frontwards. Cause I will be very sad knowing I kinda stood up for them.
I agree 100%. With cases like this, it’s not enough, never enough. They did not care enough to notice! That is the issue here. A person paying attention would notice the signs, a slight limp here & there, unexplained bruises, sudden change of character to dejected, apathetic & depressed type, withdrawal from family members, her stunts to get attention, suicidal etc ... man she displayed all the symptoms. So their guilty act is never gonna be enough. They did not protect their youngest. In any family, it is the job of the older family members to watch out for the younger ones till they can fend for themselves.

I can see where you’re coming from, I just think they didn’t really reflect enough on how badly they acted in the past? During their POVs they just thought about how gloomy she was, not how they could’ve helped her before. And she like, committed su1cide, and they knew about it, so I’m not sure I can say they didn’t entirely pay attention to her, they just didn’t care about her,,, they definitely are having character development but I’m bitter that MC is forgiving them so easily. Og girl tried to k1ll herself on multiple occasions and now she’s actually dead and MC is in her body. She’s dead cause they didn’t care and that’s pretty awful :/

Yes I definitely agree! You brought up some good points (I sound like I'm writing an essay lmao my b) the bruises and the depression and su1cide were obvious tells and they just didn't care about them.

It's super disappointing that the brothers and grandfather don't seem to show more guilt for overlooking BLATANT abuse that happened right in front of their faces. And I feel really bad for MC because she has gone through so much abuse that she can't even be angry at her family, simply because she's gone through worse. I hope the redemption arc (there better be one or istg) has a lot of angst and guilt from her family because they are actual pieces of shit.
