Extra rant but: I get that everyone is worried about Estelle and how she seems kinda self destructive since she’s willing to risk her life for the ones she loves but literally everyone who gets mad at her for that (Anne, her dad, her brother, Emel, etc.) would literally give up their lives to save Estelle and not even blink. Like Wuts with this hypocritical attitude that everyone has?
Personally, I really do love Emel he can't just openly be like I LOVE YOU AND IM DOING THIS FOR YOU. You've seen how he gets treated by the other "love rivals" of Estelle he's just a lowly knight he can't do anything for her. It's unfair everyone kinda expecting him to do all this when he hates himself. AND WEVE ALL SEEN BIGGER AGE GAPS ITS NOT THAT BAD. and eh the obsession gives him the spice from a normal ML. I love a good yandere. and girl you forget her dad has killed people that look at her wrong. also her brother(⊙…⊙ )
The thing is I UNDERSTAND that I’m just saying that he left so that he could protect her but he couldn’t even tell her? Also just because we’ve seen bigger age gaps doesn’t make it better? If this age gap makes me uncomfortable than obviously bugger ones do too so that argument is useless. And it’s not actually the age gap. It’s the fact that he was an adult and watched her grow up. He didn’t even see her as an adult until recently and now he likes her? It’s just a little weird that he likes her after being with her all the time when she was kid. But you’re entitled to your opinion and I can’t tell you to dislike Emel. Hell EVEN I don’t dislike him. I think he’s a good character, but I just feel like it got over complicated when he became ml. He was already a good and detailed character before that, but now adding all the extra complex feelings he has for Estelle just makes it too much. It’s kinda hard for me cuz basically my emotions when Estelle started to like him to the end basically went: “NOOO NOT EMEL” to ”awwwww I hope they’re happy together” to “eeshhhh” to “uhhhh pls no” so uhhhh ya. Sorry for the freakin essay ahah

Yeah but he also didn’t bother to make it clear to her, correct her, or tell her that he’s leaving for her sake, so even if it was obvious how was she supposed to know? In the moment she probably thought that he doesn’t like her that way, which is why he has no reason to stay. I’m not saying that she isn’t at fault at all for not reading in between the lines (cuz it was pretty obvious to me) but ya :/// that’s just my take

Ahhh I’m soo glad! I thought my opinions on Emel would be the minority but ig most if you guys feel the same!! I wish the author didn’t make Emel the ml and instead introduced a new character! Ren was very cute too but Emel just made him leave before he confessed to Estelle and then EMEL REJECTED ESTELLE TOO! AND FOR WHAT!? Tbh if Emel was introduced as her guard and he was also around her age and maybe an apprentice or something at the beginning then I would get it but he was basically an adult(?) already so that’s just a little weird. I would even accept the romance as it is if they didn’t make Emel so obsessed with hating himself and being so freaking overprotective. Like even her dad and brother aren’t like that
