i heard that in the original story he raped her in the car scene and became obsess with her over time, always forcing her doing things that she didin´t want so i don´t understand why making the story softer by not letting people hating him per complete but keeping him being trash, so were is the point of doing the manga ? is this for making people ship for the sick love because after knowing about the original i cant see romance in this
