He just needs a therapist and I think he could be a decent human being. He was struggling too and all he did was out of anxiety and fear. I get where he was coming from...
I don't agree with it of course... His ways, like you said, were very wrong...

Exactly he was so toxic he knew that mitsuru was not happy so he let him go
I wish he understood that earlier
But still i hope he finds his share of happiness and apologies to mitsuru later on

he wouldn't have raped he every time they met if he loved him. he want to have it all and it blow up in his face.. im sure if he had talked to Mitsuru about the pressures he was facing Mitsuru would have done anything for him and even stayed.. but instead he was raped and had the wedding ring shoved him his ass while being laughed at.. I think anyone would have been done at that point. but if that means you feel bad for the ex then I mean your feelings are wrong but they're valid .

I still think he loves him, but not in a healthy way. Even psychopaths can be in "love", but it's obviously toxic, even deadly. He loved Mitsuru but he was mentally way too far gone, and that love turned into possession. He still loved him, and by the end, you can see that he's trying to make him happy, but doesn't know how to, so he lets him go. In the beginning, he was just mad at his life and obviously didn't want to get married to some random person. Of course, he acted in a very toxic way and still wasn't in love with Mitsuru by that time. I feel like he slowly started to love him more by each chapter, that's why he let him go in the first place. If he didn't care he wouldn't let him go. He was just abusive and toxic but mainly because he didn't know what to do with himself and the fact that Mitsuru doesn't love him back. Again, that's very toxic, but it's still love, just... A different kind of love, a toxic one, and instead of making people happy it hurts people (both of them, because you can see that the guy is also hurting and is tortured by his own mind, and Mitsuru is hurt by his ex.)

"love" isn't a good enough reason for any of what you just said...

Of course it's not! I'm not trying to give a good reason for what he did or to justify it. I'm just saying that he still loves him, but in a sick, toxic way. I didn't say that he's a good person, or that it's ok for him to do these things because he loves him...
