I i remembered it clearly, that sword is full of jewels and as you can see it's really beautiful but you can't use it for fighting. the Empress wishes that Trashta's baby will grow up like that sword, and Trashta was really happy but little did she know that the meaning of growing up like that sword means Trashta's baby is just like that useless sword and grow up to be useless.
It's not accurate but that's what i remembered from the novel, sorry for my bad english.
