If someone is to strong, they're never a friend. If someone is to nice, they're never a true friend. If something is too good to be true then it's probably fake. In fiction it's all for mc to grow and get stronger. But the thing mc here is already too strong and already got a bad start. So he had his level up. At this point his friends might be truly be nice. He has enemies and strugles already at it is. So not until later he got over them maybe only then his friends might create a problem. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
