Not necessarily. The author too has kept that part ambiguous, because the uke's body has not been found yet, so there is a possibility of him actually hiding somewhere. The former boss is also dead but his body was found, but the uke is's body is missing, maybe because he isnt really dead. I really want a happy ending too T_T

Since people are very confused about the story, the characters and the timeline, i want to give a brief summary, including some aspects from the raws. I hope i'm able to clear certain things about the currently translated chapters.
PAST:
Seo Yeonjin (main uke) bought Choi Moonhyuk (main seme) after seme lost an underground fight. It was love at first sight for the uke, and he buys the seme and wants to know more about him, so he looks for information. His best friend (tanned guy with small mole on his face) comes along and says he can give him that info and long story short, uke agrees to sleep with him in exchange of that information. Combining the info that the uke got plus seme's flashbacks, we have the following information: Seme was raised in an orphanage and now takes care of his brothers and sisters who were in the same orphanage, after the orphanage is demolished or something. Seme's former boss (chagang) was into bondage, and seme saw him sleeping with a man with a scar across his lips (let's call him scarface, he is important later on). Apparently, scarface is a well-connected man politically (according to latest translated chapter) and it is he who gets the seme's former boss murdered after coming across a video of seme and boss having sex, because Boss was scarface's b!tch.
Coming to uke's story: Uke's father is a rich businessman, married to a beautiful opera singer. One day uke, while chasing a ball, accidently sees his father having sex with another man, who is ---SUPRISE!!!!--- Scarface! His mother then comes and takes him away. He starts acting rebellious and shizz and later on, his mother commits su!cide, for which he blames his father, etc etc. Uke gets married to a friend of his, who doesnt mind him sleeping with the seme, and tells the seme that she is aware of everything and chose uke because uke was the perfect candidate for giving her a beautiful son, who is the only one she truly cares about. She also has a grudge against uke's dad, though i dont know the reason. Uke's aim is to humiliate his father, and in the process he ended up falling in love at first sight with seme, and the story continues from there.
Uke continues sleeping with the seme, and even tries the bondage that seme's former boss used to do, because he is in love with the seme and wants the seme to notice him, but one day when the seme is drunk, they have sex and the seme confuses him for his former boss, and the uke realises that he is competing with the boss' ghost so he will never be able to win seme's love. This is where chapter 12 ends.
PRESENT:
Whatever is written above, is actually the PAST. Chapter 1 begins from the PRESENT. In the present, uke is already dead (apparently), but his body HAS NOT been found, and the seme is accused of having killed him. The former boss is DEFINITELY dead, his body had been found long back, even before the uke and seme had met.
EDIT: Since some people are asking about this: I think the uke is still alive. Compare the former boss' death with the uke's death. Former boss (chagang) died, his body was found, so there was no ambiguity about his death. But uke is supposedly dead, yet his body hasnt been found even after many days of searching iirc.
(This is my speculation, I desperately want them to have a happy ending T_T I really really hope the uke is alive.)
EDIT: Best friend is Scarface's nephew.
Chapter 18-19 onwards I think mutual feelings begin to develop between the seme and the uke because the sex looks much more intimate, though i'm not sure because i cannot read korean. The scarface makes a comeback, recognises seme, while uke's dad also makes an appearance, and i tell you he is such a B!TCH i literally want to crack his skull open istg (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
