The only thing ground breaking was Taiga really. The gender discussion is also interesting but very clearly written by a cis non lgbt person and has a very Straight Japanese person mentality about everything....still, a lot better and more sensitively handled than most in this genre and very sad we won’t get to see more from this author...
i dont even have words to express how this bl is incredible in many ways. if u know bl for a while u can notice that is pretty cliche the “i dont have a daugther so i will make my son dress like a girl” plot, but ‘boys meet maria’ treats it totally different from every other manga that i read like this.
it really made me cry, not only because of the ending and everything, but because we will not have the opportunity to see another new beautiful work made by peyo sensei. rest in peace
