Some younger people are just overly idealistic. Like, they just stamp anything with rape/abuse/grahic content in the story as it's all bad, it's contributing to rape/abuse culture, etc. They don't differentiate reality with fictions meant for enjoyment. I get that some with strong contents do cross the line, but just because you've encountered some bad apples doesn't mean that you should condemn everything in the genre as bad. But that aside, I really wish that people would be patient & give the story a chance too, coz with the progression, you see character development, & the real message the author is trying to convey. So your initial perceptions on things may change later. And I do hope that people wold refrain from giving bad ratings from the get go just because the series contain some elements that doesn't suit your taste. Just my 2 cents....
Rather than younger ones.. I guess people who read a lot of it complain the most... Cuz, at first u don't even consider rape as rape..... After reading and knowing the meaning of it makes u feel bad ...... Think of the thoughts which u had while reading your 1st story to the the thoughts of your recent ones..... You'll feel like back then I don't even used to think about it.... For me it changed.. My view of stories has changed..... When I see those stories now... I just simply left the room..... And what most agitiate the readers is when the rapers don't get their karma... They just got clean cut.... I do read dark stories but the one which shows the pain and side effects of it.... Not the ones where rape or any kind of violence is the start of a new live story.....
am i the only one who finds the people who whine under yaoi stories annoying? it’s in the description and/ or warning before the story starts or even tags. why read it when you know what you’re in for? like if you’re not about it then just don’t read it. simple. i think some people aren’t old enough to know that the author is just telling a story(well unless ur reading borderline yaoi lol). idk i've just been thinking about how there’s warnings everywhere and people leave a one star on it bc of one event that happened on the story and not see the story for what it actually is.
