HEAR ME OUT

Okay, I get why people are hating on the white-haired uke but hear me out, it's kinda stupid to hate on him cause:

1) Most breakups in real life are unreasonable when they don't start on open terms. If you think about Jeonghan's personality at first, he was trying his best to make Kangwoo happy, NOW I know Kangwoo also thought he was doing the best he could too, SO that proves my point generally. Both of them thought they were doing their best for the relationship. Now, keep in mind, everyone reacts and thinks differently. It's what makes us human, so, in Jeonghan's mind, he didn't feel as if he was loved by Kangwoo. WE know Kangwoo loved him because we can read all the characters' thoughts, BUT THEY CAN'T. Everyone interprets things differently. You can't blame him for feeling like the relationship wasn't loving. If you put yourself in Jeonghan's situation, where you confessed to a friend/guy you liked in college and then you were together for years. He acts more like a friend than a boyfriend to you and your relationship isn't really open to people. That's not the perfect interpretation but just imagine YOU were in Jeonghan's EXACT situation. YOU CAN'T READ KANGWOO'S THOUGHTS. Eventually, you would start feeling unloved and the best thing to do, IN YOUR HEAD, AT THAT EXACT TIME. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Would you really stay with him? IF YOU DON'T FEEL LOVED IN THE RELATIONSHIP, WOULD YOU REALLY STAY IN IT? Exactly, no, most of the time, people would not. MOST relationships in real life, as I said before, end on unreasonable terms cause one person felt like the other should've been doing something.
NOW, I AM NOT SAYING JEONGHAN IS COMPLETELY INNOCENT. I AM NOT SAYING THAT AT ALL. He should've told Kangwoo properly but like I said, MOST BREAKUPS END ON UNREASONABLE TERMS.

2) So, we know Kangwoo also drinks a lot of alcohol, and it increased when Jeonghan left. Now, firstly. I get that alcohol was probably making him feel better from the heartbreak, BUT drowning your problems away in alcohol IS NOT OKAY. Whether you think Kangwoo is the victim or not, YOU CANNOT SAY DRINKING EVERY NIGHT IS OKAY. So when Jeonghan saw Kangwoo that day, drunk after the breakup, what on Earth was he supposed to think? If you saw your ex drunk after you guys broke up a while ago, would you think, "Aw, he really misses me, I should go back to him," OR "What the fuck? This asshole seems to be living his life huh?" Honestly, whether you lie to protect Kangwoo, doesn't affect me cause you know the truth.

3) So we've talked about Kangwoo's faults, and as I said, Jeonghan isn't innocent either. Yes, you're having a hard time because of a breakup, but that doesn't mean you have to fuck your boss to make you feel better. So obviously from Kangwoo's side, it obviously hurts to know that your (now ex) boyfriend is sleeping with your boss. It will do damage. So what Jeonghan did was not good either. I admit that. I mean, I'm pretty sure if your ex was just sleeping with your boss after a breakup, you wouldn't be too understanding. In all honesty, I would've wished the bastard would go to hell.

4) In all honestly, both of them are at fault. Their actions after their breakup were not okay. Cause literally 1-10 tubs of ice-cream and they would've been fine, I guarantee. But as I've said before, AND I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, RELATIONSHIPS MOSTLY END ON UNREASONABLE TERMS. Yes, they could've made it work BUT in a way, it was just how their lives were supposed to play out. They made mistakes, as everyone does, they've accepted it and moved on as they should. They found new partners and they are happy now.

5) You shouldn't hate on the manga cause this is basically how real-life relationships and breakups are. If you can't accept that, then just leave. The creator spent a lot of time making this amazing manga for people to enjoy. NOT FOR PEOPLE TO HATE ON A CHARACTER CAUSE THE FIRST RELATIONSHIP DIDN'T WORK.
