Since Ciel - who is quite young, was acquainted with the Undertaker right from the start - maybe Undertaker and Vincent were friends, or Undertaker could even be ... Grandfather/Great Grandfather to Ciel? Just a thought that I am throwing out there ...
Can't be, cuz' Undertaker didn't age, he might be a demon too or is like William and so on.. But I think there seem to be a deeper connection with the Phantomhive.. Better to say with Ciel and his father.
They were friends, he was said as one of the "evil nobles" who worked along with Vincent, the Queen's watchdog. Diedrich was one, too, and knew them both. Which doesn't mean he couldn't be his ancestor too, he still can :) Since Undertaker is a shinigami he doesn't age, so there's no way for us to know his age just yet. We only know he's been a shinigami for at least half a century (he said so in the Titan... coffcoff... Campania arc). The german shinigami said that there's something unusual in Ciel's bloodline, so... Who knows...
