people have a secondary gender. so, your first gender is male/female and your second gender is alpha/beta/omega. alphas are stereotypically smarter, stronger etc so dominate society. betas are like the average person. omegas are stereotypically seen as weak and useful only for their reproductive capabilities.

Also usually there’s discrimination shown towards omegas in omegaverses because due to their heats, they are more likely to cause “trouble” in their workplaces or in public. Alpha’s who become attract to an omega’s heat may even blame the omega because of the heat
Im not really sure how to describe it, it’s kind of rank with alpha as the most superior and omega as the lowest rank..yes, it’s true that most story convey the discrimination towards omega, not all but most of it. that’s what make the story quite interesting.. for soft omegaverse I recommend love in illusion and kiraide isasete ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
