More than that it looks more like just Mildred past life come to light and because of that it’s so prominent that she made different choices because she already knows kind of what’s going to happen that so it feels like like near death you almost die in your sleep so now you just remember your past life

I don't know though, if Mildred had simply gone back in time would she have genuinely card for Ashley?I'd think with the little information we got about her she'd only dislike the girl more. If Mildred actually got a second chance I could see her getting married again to solve her current problems because that's the mind frame of women back then. If you don't have money, marry into it, if your struggling with children hope your kids marry into money. I think a big problem with the other world trope is that people expect the characters to hold onto those identities instead of treating them as the background information it is. She lived in a world where her current life was a fairytale and she was a cruel step-mother. Yeah she didn't have kids, but she doesn't really have kids now either. The girls are 19-15 maybe and honestly can mostly look after themselves since their at marriageable age. At best she's taking care of younger sisters and that's the sort of vibe I feel from her most of the time since she encouraging but not over protective. Besides I doubt it'd be hard to pretend to be a woman who mostly was there to look pretty and manage a household. She got those memories anyway and most modern women understand household/account management.

I think it's relevant personally
They don't really have anything in common although her choice are not really flagrant original Mildred would have never cared for Ashley, she would have never took care that much of the mansion and would just left herself fall down in the debt (like the debut mentioned) and furthermore I don't think she would have catch the eye of the baron. Because if you think, it's her kindness but also her demeanor really different of the common ladies that interested him.
She's actually also taking care of her family and not letting them down and make sure her "daughter" find not forcefully rich but good husbands.
A bit off topic, but am I the only one who forgot that there's a different person is in mildred's body? Like honestly this transmigration makes no sense to me. She's exactly the same person who's just taken a different path. I'd get it if it was the original mildred and she went back to the past to change her fate, but this new person who just lives so seamlessly as mildred, with the same mannerisms, memories, and genuine relationships. I don't mean to hate, but I wish these webtoons would ditch the whole 'occupying the body of a person from a different world' when it has no relevance to the plot.
