She embellished (read: lied) her reasoning though, saying "I care for people so that's I won't dress lavishly..." When in fact she ordered from the most prestigious boutique in the town. This fact kinda bothers me.
I don't think Rachel claiming all credit was a bitch move. It would strange for her to credit a maid tbh. As long as it was made or designed by her ppl, then no one would care. Marie didn't want to be recognized and why would Rachel want His Highness to have appreciation for some random maid? If it were any other maid, he wouldn't have known or cared. Plus Rachel is trying to get his attention and beat the others. So it makes sense for her to claim credit.
But when she was asked again, this was her queue to give a different answer or specify. But she had no idea what he may have expecting her to answer. Why would he care some maid designed it? When he asked her again, she should have said something like, "Yes, I designed it with the help of my maids." or something. She could add a humbling comment but not having been caught in a lie. But again there was no reason for him to care about the 'help' being credited properly.
