This webtoon does a perfect job at showing how a webtoon doesn't have to revolve around a lot of elements. The show primarily focuses on a specific timeline* (the months of casting and making of a show) , characters were focused specifically to 4. Each character interaction was a turning point. The final one being where minki and eunwoo meet was a clear indication of the series' climax. The show collectively ends with the characters plot dilemma coming to an end. (Taeyong - finding love in minki) - (Minki letting go and accepting again) - (Wonho - paying his price) (Eunwoo finally mustering his feelings).
The story deserves a 5-star for a lot of reasons but the one that caught my attention was how the story controls cliché plots like *taeyong having a crush on his fav actor and coincidentally gets to play a role with him* to seamlessly discussing themes of greed, jealously, obsession, regret. Many webtoons could have gone the route of being cliché and having coincidences and very unrealistic plot twist and rivalry for no reason. Glad they didn't do that for this. Also like for most (not all) of the sex scenes, THEY ACTUALLY PREPPED THE BOTTOM. instead of this fantasy yaoi logic that male asses just lube themselves and can always fit dicks. 9/10 simple story with simple elements, a simple plot and character motivation. The ending tied every knot in the neatest way possible.
