The guy in the beginning (people called crazy) reincarnated wei ying in his body to avenge himself by killing the family members in the starting chapters.
the one Reincarnating is called mo xuanyu who is also the son of Jin guangshan (or sth), basically the previous jin sect leader. Mo xuanyu is also gay so he is called cut-sleeve.
The one Reincarnated is wei wuxuian who was supposed to be dead 13 yrs ago. He has plenty of history with a lot of characters here like lan zhan and jiang cheng.
Lan zhan(seme) knows mo xuanyu is now wei ying. They are both investigating the hand that attacked that village when wei ying was reincarnated in the early chapters.
Every now and then they show pasts of wei ying and rn it's past going on in the present chapters.
