i explained in the second half of my comment, but to further clarify, since the author decided to have Shizuka deny and refuse Koju’s advances because they are family, and because his love for Koju is strictly familial, i think the story needed an actual explanation for why Shizuka suddenly feels romantic/sexual attraction for Koju and no longer sees him as like. Just his son. Bcus the way it was done was bad.
