i know this is a setting where being gay could be considered mental illness (it’s not but here it probably is) but a majority of gay kids like myself also have mental illness (not saying all do but) so it’s a good chance he is actually mentally ill
edit: i didnt meant for it to be gay=mentally ill i meant it in the way like being gay can cause the trauma that can lead to mental illness if that makes sense? i have trauma from my sexuality and that’s the part i was referring to. as in it is caused by the conditioning society puts onto gay children that shapes their mental picture of themselces, decisions, thought processes, as well as repressing that part of yourself can cause a lot of mental strife and grief. and i meant research more in the past like the manwhas time period, i just self inserted my own sexuality to show why i was interested in the topic, sorry if it’s confusing and if i offended you or anyone else, i’m about 100% sure i worded that wrong :(
