I think the people who say it makes them mad are mainly annoyed because it’s literally everywhere like there aren’t many yaoi were rape isn’t included at all. I don’t mind it for the most part -because it’s fiction and im not delusional- but I have gotten really annoyed with it at times but thats only because in context of the story it’s just a bad choice story-wise. other times I’m fine with it but like in shame application with dobin and the rich dude right at the end, that was just not it at all. There are just some stories where it doesn’t fit ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Yeh it's there for majority but there are lots of good ones out there who are totally sweet (▰˘◡˘▰)

I do get mad at the stories with rapes simply because 1 : its supposed to be a romance story. 2: the MC reactions to the rapes are always(98% of the time) awful. So i do give my opinions on how this trope often kill stories. But i do think it's meaningless to compare fiction rape to real rape.
literally no one cares if you have a rape fetish or whatever else you get off to. just don't act like you're getting oppressed and that people are "spreading hate" when they rightfully criticize a rape victim falling in love with their rapist in a story that's supposed to be romantic. (because that's usually what happens). like sorry if i criticize an author when they completely ruin a good story with an unnecessary, cheap and gross trope. i'm convinced that if that exact scenario happened between the male and female protagonists in a romance manga you people would be up in arms.
the people who like it you can just go tell them to go kill themselves. it not that hard but if you don't like being like that then you can just go tell them to fuck off. like seriously idc if people like it the majority of them that do like can go suck a dick if they like it that much. and i'm not hating on the people who like it but if you complain about it it is your own fault.

Sure, having and/or initiating debates and arguments on this topic is something you have the right to do but plz keep in mind, discussion and spreading hate are two distinctively different things.
