I actually love Nie Huaisang, he so smart and sneeky mastermind! he was great! and he actually did more good then bad. think about it, if he didn't do what he did, who would have stop Jin guanyao from killing more people and turn corpeses into zombies while he support a crazy killer that can kill many families without any guilt.
Huaisang did what he had to do, to not only save his brother but to also give his best friend a second chance at life and to help him clear his name. and Huaisang never ask the big position or the power, he just left it to othersd cause he wanted justice. so in a way, he is not that bad. he more similer to Wei ying that also have no problem taking the revenge that need to be done to get justice.

You are wrong a lot on JGY. He didn't kill Jin Zixuan, it was an accident (said by author herself), Jiang Yanli's death had nothing to do with JGY, NMJ tried to kill him at least twice before (wouldn't call him innocent, he was asking for it) and it was never said who's decision was what happened to Wen siblings. Could have been JGS, JGY or some other dude. JGY was fully responsible for the prostitutes which he used to kill JGS. He may have had trauma from brothels in childhood but those were actual innocents (idk how he hadn't thought of his mother)
I personally don't hate anyone besides Jin Guangshan, Song Lang, Wang Lingjiao and Wen Chao, but I do find JC and Jin Ling bratty at times. NHS fooled me well so he's okay in my book (but he's far from a good guy)

1. XueYang (i hate him because he ruined my ship songlan X xinchen). and he's a psycho but after xinchen dead, i kind of pity him. he want to revive xinchen but it can't be done bcause xinchen soul didn't want to. 3 of them are tragic.
2. Jin guanyao (even though i read his back story, i can't like him. he was to cruel). i don't pity him much especially he was behind the death of jin ling parents, nie mingjue, wen qing and wen ning offer their life because of the death. they are innocent. i feel so sad the last moment wen qing put wei ying to sleep and they seek for the death. i'm crying. while sister died, his baby bro wen ning was under spell. they used him when he was unconscious! i hate him more than his sad backstory.
3. Nie Huaisang. (i hate the way he used mo xuanyu as a scapegoat to bring back wei ying to live). the last one when he thought jin guangyao will escape again, he lied about attacking from behind and caused lan zichen slash guangyao. he still play dumb then. i know he just want to revenge his bro's death but using other people to revive dead soul,
4. wen chao? who cares? just some maggot. deserve to die twice time.
5. jiang cheng? i don't hate him at all instead i like him. let me clarify again. jiang cheng didn't kill wei ying back then but i'm not sure why people said jiang cheng killed wei ying. he wasn't. wei ying died because he was torn to pieces by the corpses. he thrown himself into the sea of corpse. jiang chen hated wei ying but at the same time he didn't. you can see how much he loves wei ying as his big bro. he loved dogs but because wei ying have a dog trauma, he let go of all his dogs. the reason why he blurted out to lan zhan when he saw lan zhan catches wei ying because he hate the turn out. i think he still hope wei ying to come back to him but he chose lan zhan and stay at gusu lan at the end. i read again and again. if jiang cheng really want to kill wei ying, he could do that a very long time ago. remember when wei ying snuck to see jin ling's leg? jiang cheng caught him alone. if he want, he could just kill him because wei ying will not fight back and lan zhan are not there to protect him. instead he just badmouthing him and called fairy the dog to scares him. same like when he badmouthing wei ying and lanzhan being lovey dovey under the tree. more like insulting. he's exactly like his mom. tsuntsun. bad mouth with kind heart. side note : no ship. they are like true siblings same like nie huaisang and nie mingjue. .. they love and hurt each other, but they cares and will not killing each other. true brotherly love.
