I mean, the story isn't framed like he did a "good" thing by making out with this girl. His bandmate even says that he is a womanizer. It also is implied that he isn't really Ara's boyfriend but it doesn't matter. He isn't supposed to be a great guy.
I think it's supposed to be more of a "Ha, you played yourself." If she had just nicely said happy birthday and left Naye alone then Naye wouldn't have even went.
I think we’re all excluding one more person from this narrative and that’s purple hair girl who asked somebody else’s boyfriend for a kiss you already bad in my book the author or whoever is trying to paint this girl as someone that should be pitied I say no.

he wasn't her boyfriend XD the bitch asks him to act like he is her boyfriend since she is a bitch. besides I don't give a shit even if he really was her boyfriend, she still a horrible bitch anyway that acts like she is better than anyone else so I have zero pity on her. and she was going to let a guy rape the FL and laugh about it, think about that.
Yea I can already tell this isnt for me, just bc the pink is an jerk doesn't mean the boyfriend has the right to cheat. I'm not justifying pink at all, but I'm also not going to justify the emo boyfriend either. It's really weird that despite being in a relationship he still kisses and thinks about other girls. Now I'm not saying the girl from the flashback had a romantic connection with him but it does seem so.
