Amazing strategist heroine. No bs "I came from another world where I was an salarywoman that Google stuff and read magazine so I start my own chocolate/tea business in a world that conveniently has the exact material and fruit I need" bulshit. She's a strategist bc she was forced by her mother to be study military at the age of ten bc if she was a pretty girl she would just be marriage material nothing more nothing less.
Author did awesome job in studying the environment, time period he had in mind. Nice straightforward romance. Ml notices her for her archevement in battle and there's no humiliating girl-villain or bitch antagonist like Malty from shield hero.

I sort of recommend novel since its one of the best light novel about a character that guides the reader to get in touch with another culture and appreciate that culture without forcing their own culture to push back the other country's tradition. Protagonist is was an ex soldier so strong and very cool. There's a straightforward couple that remains constant throughout the story but it is evident the improvement. It is really sweet. Once again I recommend the novel more than the manga. It is different comparing a drawing of a small dear than reading the scenery that scene.
