If ur gonna include romance in the genre ofc i would be expecting some romantic development. And we all know she gonna reclaim her country at the end cause she the mc and has op allies, whats so intresting now then?
But here's the thing, romance was never the main genre of the manga. Besides most readers would want to see a strong female lead becoming more independent and gaining back her rightful place even if they know that she's the mc and she's definitely gonna reclaim her throne.
