Alright, you've been warned. This spoiler included with whom Ria ended up with :) and for you guys who ship Ria and Asisi... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . From the spoiler in novelupdates forum, in the novel version, Caitel didn't die. Asisi escorted Ria from 6th Prince's castle and left Caitel there bcs Caitel had already ordered him to prioritize Ria first. Ria went back to Agrigent with Val since Asisi still needed to stay in there. She cried all the time. When they arrived in Agrigent, Perdel picked her up and apparantely he was stepping down from his position as the Chancellor.
Caitel also finally arrived in Agrigent but he was in coma. Dranste told Ria that there was a way to help him, but it was risky. The method was Ria had to enter Caitel's consciousness/dream and they had a "heart-to-heart" father & daughter talk and Caitel finally told Ria that he loved her.
After that, Ria woke up but Caitel was still in coma. Despite that, his condition finally showed some improvements. During Caitel's coma, Ria was the one in command. They had a meeting with representatives of S-hetrogenbosch and Prezia and Ahin was part of it :)
After some awkward meeting and walking around the garden with Ahin, we'd moved to Havel. Long story shorts, he told Ria that he would make Ria his Empress; but they had arguments since Ria knew that he hated her dad and she said something like "you must accept my father too since we are a package-deal" and "I'm not going to be your Empress".
Ria ended up with Ahin, some spoiler also said that they had 2 daughters and 1 son. Ah, also, it was really hard to get Caitel's approval lol. They were debating where Ria would live after her marriage. Caitel said she should live with him for the next 30 years and Ria said that she would came to Agrigent every month and stay a week. Funny thing was one day after Ria's marriage (and she went to S-hetrogenbosch), Caitel already wanted Ria to come back
Someone also stated that based from the side story, Ria's son inherited the throne of Agrigent and he was afraid if he didn't manage it well, his "dear" Grandpa Caitel would take that throne back (and possibly beat him too lol) Ria also wrote a letter to her son about her whereabouts when she travelled with both Caitel and Ahin. Apparently, Caitel bullied Ahin a LOT during their travel
Imagine Caitel still "bullying" Ahin even when he is at the age in which his grandson is old enough (around 20-ish maybe?) to be the next Emperor He must be in his mid 60-ish and still couldn't fully accept his son-in-law
Pst, I personally think that Ahin's design was based on Asisi since... ngl, Ahin could pass as Asisi's son Ria also said to Asisi in the later chapter whilst painting (if I'm not mistaken) that she "would marry him of only she were older and he were younger" Asisi himself was shocked hearing that(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
This is the "details" for that moment lol.
"Ariadna thought about that as she drew a painting in the garden with Asisi. And she said if only she were more older and Asisi were more younger, she would marry him, because she really liked asisi. Asisi had a puzzled and shock face. But later she said again, whether she married Asisi or not she believed Asisi will always stayed by her side. Asisi made a promised that he would always by her side and they smiled to each others."
Reading this brings peace to my mind. Knowing that caitel is alive YES! Ren
He is so alive to the point his reign is about 40-ish years... and apparently bcs of the "fairy blood" (that makes the royal family appear young) he still can reign again if Ria's son isn't good enough :)
