I agree with you completely. This is some problems that we actually still face in modern times and it really shows that no one has really done anything to improve the situation from before. I am so disappointed in our society for making standards like this that make women and girls uncomfortable in this way and I hate our beauty standards as outer beauty can only go so far but no one cares about that anymore. They only care for a good image by being with a pretty lady and not understanding that their beauty can only go so far. Just like how that count was grabbing her ass there are so many people who still do that on the fucking STREETS and are completely fine because they know their safe from harm. My sister got her ass grabbed when we were walking down the streets in New York City. It is so frustrating for me to see this as an older sister because I don't want my sister to be harassed in the middle of the street. It also shows how our society hasn't changed at all. Like how that count grabbed her ass and how a random guy grabbed a random girls ass. Really fucking annoying to see this today.

this story is just so good to me, Mildred worrying for her daughters and having anxiety, doubting the existence of fate and true love, her thinking that the reason why Cinderella was saved was becuase she was beautiful not kind. I love how this story turned a magical, hard to belive fairy tale into something realistic and grounded. It fills me with the magical hope I get from fairytales, but at the same time gives me a reality check. Like look up at the stars but dont forget the dirt on your feet.
