Not really, I didn't have a bump until month 5 with my first. Then you sort of pop and it's there in your face. Also he fit so his abdominal muscles are very toned.

Makes sense muscle affects appearance. How would fat change it though, because I imagine he has lower body fat than an average woman

Bodies are weird but there's a fitness model who didn't look over 5 months pregnant at full term. I think body fat would make you look pregnant faster.
