Its because thats how Sooyoung is. Sooyoung hate people's help and he hates it when people interfere his bussiness. Its his character. So Taeseung have to let it be like that e/though im sure Taeseung did that with a heavy heart.
You must understand Sooyoung's personality first to understand Taeseung's action. This two doesnt have that typical "seme help uke in distress" relationship. Taeseung see Sooyoung as someone who's on equal ground as him. It also got to do with the mafia way kind of thing
the plot thickens!! spoilers below and parentheticals are my own thoughts. Long summary bc there's a lot of dialogue/inner thoughts here lol
First part is Taesung continuing his call w/ Sangchul -- SC is asking if TS really wants to put Sooyoung in the line of danger like that and TS responds that he and SY made a promise that SY wouldn't get hurt or else TS would (hopefully not actually) break both his legs. He tells SC to be on the lookout in his stead and that he's trying to do things right with SY by not interfering.
Then we get TS's inner thoughts about his first meeting with SY and compared it to finding a missing piece of a puzzle and how he's thought countless times about where it fits. He thinks about how SY's tired expression and how it reminds him of the time he was beaten up by someone with the same expression. Then he thinks about his past and how he went from being weak to finding his strength and using it anyway he could. Mid-thought TS tells SC to wait and report what's happening, and then when the time is right SC can take them all out at once. TS's inner thoughts continue and he thinks about how he's finally found the thing that he's been struggling to find in SY and that he needs him.
Then we get back into the Sooyoung/Donghyun confrontation and here SY notices that there's something wrong with DH because he looks fearful. When SY tries to ask what's going on DH tells him to get the hell out of here and pushes SY away to leave. While DH is back at the bar Kang Il comes back and notices that DH is back early (without SY). KI says he kept his end of the promise but DH hasn't. Meanwhile SY is making his way back to the bar and thinks about DH's expression like he's been threatened and that he could be in danger. He also subconsciously thinks back to TS's "take care of yourself" and wonders why he keeps thinking about him.
Finally we get to Sooyoung confronting Kang Il when he hears DH shouting. Most of the dialogue here is Kang Il saying that DH couldn't keep his promise so no hard feelings. He greets SY with "so you're the person sucking TS's dick eh" and says that he only has business with TS and that if SY doesn't put up a fight then he could leave with at least his mind intact. Initially SY thinks that he doesn't want to get hurt for TS's sake, but ofc our boy SY isn't gonna sit there and stay restrained so he lashes out and says "fine I'll follow you but not until at least one of you dies by my hands first". Then end scene with SY getting bonked on the head.

Really suspenseful chapter! (≧∀≦) And to anyone who's worried about TS's intentions with SY and if his feelings are genuine, then this chapter is here to reassure you that he 100% cares about SY and sees SY as the missing piece to his life puzzle. Hopefully with Sangchul on the lookout SY will be protected, but really hoping for Taesung to come thru instead and save him.
